Cookie Day

I know that it's the middle of January already, but I need to flash back to Christmas Eve. One of the things that the kids look forward to more than anything is Cookie Day. Each child picks one cookie recipe to make with mom. And, even more importantly, no child must share the cookie dough spoon with any other child.

This year CoCo went first. She diligently researched her cookie recipe.

(Not really. It was just a cute picture.)

CoCo decided to make Deck the Halls with Boughs of Hollies. (I had to give it a good name, because she really wasn't very excited about it). Anyway, I made these a LOT when I was a kid, and they were one of my favorites.

Ginger made sugar cookies.

Owen was very excited to use my "super shooter" and shoot cookies. It made baking kinda like a video game. He loved it.

And Maddie made Frito Candy - which was wonderful!!

And she serenaded us. With much enthusiasm.

These were our official cleaner-uppers!

(Could someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong with the rottwieler pictures? Why can I never get it right?)

We also had some pretty good tasters!
